Jagjiwan Mama came to US in the early 1990s and we went with Mama to Santa Cruz Beach Broadwalk with me, grandma (ma), mummy, and Anjana. We had ice cream there, and had a wonderful time there.
He was such a good-hearted individual, very kind and very loving. When I lived in Fiji, I used to visit Suva during my school holidays and we always had the best time at Mama's house. I remember eating Mami's home made famous dhokla with Mama.
Many people do not know this fact but...........48 hours before Ma (grandma) left this earth, the last person she talked to was Jagjiwan Mama and Narabda Mami. She was very happy and she said "Jai Shri Krishna" to him. After that, as far as we know Ma (grandma) did not speak.
I am convinced that Jagjiwan Mama is now with his Sister, my grandma (Diwari Ma) in Heaven.
